How to become – Good business consultant
According to the statistics reported by Dun & Bradstreet, companies are not at an alarming pace not seen since the recession of the early 1980s and who has experience in the Great Depression of the late 1920′s and early 1930. Moreover, small businesses are ten times more likely to fail than large companies.
Although the statistics overwhelmingly a list of the main reasons for the failure as “industrial weakness” and “insufficient profits, they tend to obscure what I believe is an important factor: that many companies are doomed to fail, because the entrepreneur refused to bring in the right resources to help them succeed.
Over the years I have seen many enthusiastic entrepreneurs who I know will inevitably fail because they underestimate the difficulty in achieving business success and an overestimation of their ability to take the appropriate steps to increase their chances of success. So who do you really need to get involved from the beginning?
First, you need a good business consultant. This person must be able to help you develop your business plan, including your marketing, financial and operational strategy. Ideally, this person must have a good background in marketing, finance, accounting and law, so that he or she can handle your basic needs and questions. He or she must also be able to advise you about other specialized resources you need, and have experience in dealing with companies similar to yours.
Secondly, plan on hiring an accountant to help you get your accounts properly established. You’ll want to do this, not only for tax reporting reasons, but also to help you be able to easily generate reports to understand your financial situation, even if your income and expenditure come from. Once your account is established, you can choose to have your own accounts, use your accountant, or hire a separate person to do this.
Thirdly, brings a lawyer every time you put your signature on an important legal document, such as an agreement to purchase an existing business to buy or lease. A good lawyer can also help you to important business decisions, such as startup or to take, how to protect yourself against future lawsuits, or how to negotiate a contract with favorable terms.
True, expert help is not free. Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs wrongly believe they can learn everything and do it all themselves, which leads to lower the cost of hiring experts. This does not mean that they do not have the intelligence to do this – they often simply no time. If it takes an expert an hour to do something it would be the entrepreneur himself 40 hours to do, it’s certainly worth renting the expert. Time is money. Too often it is too late for many entrepreneurs realize.
